Cross_linked Polyethylene IN sulated Power cables with voltages up to 35kv
Ò»¡¢ Introduction
For XLPE insulated power cable£¬either chemical method (peroxide or silane cross-linking)or physical method had been employed to transform the molecular structure of PE from linear chain into three-dimensional network£¬so that thermoplastic PE had been changed into thermosetting XLPE£¬After cross-linking£¬The mechanical properties£¬heat-aging properties have been greatly improved while it¡¯s excellent electrical properties are still maintained.
The nominal conductor operating temperature of XLPE insulated power cable is 90¡æ which is higher than of paper¡¢ PVC or insulated power cable¡£The cable has the advantages of simplicity in construction£¬small outer diameter ¡¢lightness in weight¡¢and in ues and good ¡¢it can also be laid with no limitation of level difference at installation.
¶þ¡¢ Standards
The cables is manufactured according to GB12706-2002 or IEC 60502-1997.It is suitable for the power transmission and distribution with rated voltage of (U/Uo)3.6/6-26/35kV
Èý¡¢ Operation characteristic
1.Maximum operating temperature
The maximum operating temperature of conductors shall not exceed 90¡æ.when the cable is used for long period¡£The temperature of short-circuit shall not exceed 250¡æ£¬maximum sustain period not exceed 5 seconds¡£
2.Permissible time for earth fault

Category A£ºthe earthing-block time does not exceed 1 minule each times.
Category B£ºthe earthing -block time usually does 1 hour each times and not more than 8 hours at most.
Category C£ºthis Category comprises all systems which do not fall into Category A or B.
The cable¡¯s rated voltage for three-phase system is defined in table.
3.The installation of cable is not limited by the difference of level the route. The ambient temperature should not below 0¡æ during installation.
4.The minimum bending radius of cable at installation
Bending radius of single core cable 20(d+D)
Bending radius of multi core cable 15(d+D)
D=actual outer diameter of cable(mm)
d=actual diameter of conductor(mm)
